In any organization, there are members who have the creative courage to try something new, knowing that failure, in some degree or another, is expected. They are excited and vitalized by this challenge to try something new.
Every school has innovators. Often, these teachers are working "under the radar", independent of each other.
The role of the Evangelist is to identify those innovators and, with the support of the Leaders, can begin to for a cohort, that can be referred to as an Innovation Cohort.
It is important that Innovators also have support from Mentors who they can use to bounce ideas off of and to help structure and guide their learning process as they explore new agile-based learning activities.
The strategic role of Innovators for the adoption of new ideas or products was first identified by Everett Rogers in, what is known as the Rogers Curve.
