Innovation is messy. One must be willing to become Comfortable being Uncomfortable. The process involves taking risks and recognizing that failure is an essential part of the process. We call this Failing Forward.
For teachers to begin to walk down this path of bringing the vitality of Authentic Learning into the classroom, they need to know that they are supported by their principal, the leader of their school.
They need to know, that when they fail, they will not be judged, but challenged to incorporate that learning and to try again. From this process Confidence and Courage is created.
