Interesting that the earliest walled gardens were in Persia. The were divided into four parts and had a well or a pool in their center. Interesting that here I sit, by a lake, in what feels like a walled garden on Anderson Island.

Also been pondering the work of Taylor as it relates to the Efficiency Movement - a movement that had a profound impact on shaping education. He had a strong belief in the right of those who are intelligent to rule those deemed less so.
Thinking about this in context of Galton and the mono-dimensional intelligence and his conviction that intelligence was inherited.
